FOCUS: ABSTRACTION
Works from the Essl Collection
08/06/2011 – 08/01/2012, Gallery
The Essl Museum’s collection show >FOCUS: ABSTRACTION< is presented together with the Wolfgang Herzig exhibition. Building on work created by the artists’ group Galerie St. Stephan (Markus Prachensky, Arnulf Rainer, Wolfgang Hollegha and Josef Mikl), the exhibition showcases national and international representatives of abstractions, thus illustrating how widely this important field of painting is represented within the Essl Collection.
